“Antes pensabas que tu hijo estaba seguro en casa, y temías por lo que le podía pasar en la calle. Ahora no sabes qué hacer porque el peligro puede venir de la pantalla mientras está sentado delante tuyo”, afirma Xavier J., padre de tres hijos. Los riesgos de internet son para todos, niños y mayores, pero a menor madurez hay más posibilidad de engaño o de no pensar en las consecuencias de los actos que realizan, tanto a su intimidad como a la de los demás.
No son miedos infundados. Según la memoria de la fiscalía general del Estado para el 2016, los delitos por posesión de pornografía infantil aumentaron en el 2015 más del 33% respecto al año anterior (767 casos) y crecieron un 63% los delitos de acoso a menores ('grooming'), hasta 98 casos, con petición de fotos o vídeos comprometidos o grabaciones sin que la víctima se dé cuenta. Y la percepción es que las cifras van en aumento."
