For lovers of classical Greece and his work, the renowned actor Sandro Dieli will give us the privilege of bringing to Barcelona the play "Odissea" next February 14 at 20.15 at the Teatre de Sarrià, Barcelona.
The Greek culture is quite extensive and encompassed several periods and changes in their civilizations and organizational structure. From the Minoan and Mycenaean times to the Hellenistic period, which was the most stable of the empire.
Homer was a poet from Ancient Greece who was born and lived in the 8th century BC. He is the author of two of the main works of antiquity: The epic poems The Iliad and The Odyssey.
Many historians and archaeologists have not come to the conclusion about whether Homer really existed or is a legendary character, since there is no specific evidence of his existence. His works may have been written by some ancient authors or may be compilations of oral traditions from the period of Ancient Greece.
Specifically, "The Odyssey" (Greek: Ὀδύσσεια, Odýsseia) is a Greek epic poem composed of 24 songs, and is believed to have been composed in the eighth century BC. C. in the settlements that had Greece on the west coast of Asia Minor (current Asian Turkey). According to other authors, the Odyssey is completed in the seventh century BC. C. from poems that only described parts of the current work. Originally it was written in what has been called Homeric dialect. Describes the return home, after the Trojan War, of the Greek hero Odysseus (Ulysses or Ulixes). Besides having been fighting for ten years, Odysseus takes another ten years to return to the island of Ithaca, (where he held the title of king), during which his son Telemachus and his wife Penelope have to endure in their palace the suitors who seek to marry her (they already believed Odysseus dead), at the same time as they are consuming the family assets.
As well as the Illiada, are poems of great delicacy and wisdom that have survived over time and have been taken to the theater on numerous occasions reaping a great audience success.
Yes: February 14, the day of lovers, as I said at the beginning dedicated to the lovers of this great work and classical Greece.

Para los enamorados de la Grecia clásica y su obra, el reconocido actor Sandro Dieli nos va a dar el privilegio de traernos a Barcelona la obra "Odissea" el próximo día 14 de Febrero a las 20.15 en el Teatre de Sarrià , Barcelona.
La cultura griega es bastante extensa y abarcó varios períodos y cambios en sus civilizaciones y estructura organizativa. Desde la época minoica y micénica hasta la época helenística, la cual fue la más estable del imperio.
Homero fue un poeta de la Antigua Grecia que nació y vivió en el siglo VIII a.C. Es autor de dos de las principales obras de la antigüedad: Los poemas épicos La Ilíada y La Odisea.
Muchos historiadores y arqueólogos no han llegado a la conclusión sobre si Homero realmente existió o se trata de un personaje legendario, ya que no hay pruebas específicas de su existencia. Sus obras pueden haber sido escritas por algunos autores antiguos o tal vez sean recopilaciones de tradiciones orales del periodo de la época de la Antigua Grecia.
Concretamente, "La Odisea" (en griego: Ὀδύσσεια, Odýsseia) es un poema épico griego compuesto por 24 cantos, y se cree que fue compuesta en el siglo VIII a. C. en los asentamientos que tenía Grecia en la costa oeste del Asia Menor (actual Turquía asiática). Según otros autores, la Odisea se completa en el siglo VII a. C. a partir de poemas que sólo describían partes de la obra actual. Originalmente fué escrita en lo que se ha llamado dialecto homérico. Describe la vuelta a casa, tras la Guerra de Troya, del héroe griego Odiseo (Ulises o Ulixes). Además de haber estado diez años fuera luchando, Odiseo tarda otros diez años en regresar a la isla de Ítaca, (donde poseía el título de rey), período durante el cual su hijo Telémaco y su esposa Penélope han de soportar en su palacio a los pretendientes que buscan desposarla (pues ya creían muerto a Odiseo), al mismo tiempo que van consumiendo los bienes de la familia.
Así como la Illiada, son poemas de gran exquisitez y sabiduría que han sobrevivido a lo largo del tiempo y han sido llevados al teatro en numerosas ocasiones cosechando un gran éxito de audiencia.
Sí : el 14 de Febrero, el día de los enamorados, como ya he dicho al principio dedicado a los enamorados de esta gran obra y de la Grecia clásica.
